Buster and Lassie were adopted from the Sanctuary on 9 March 2006. Kholood Al Sharif told us “Buster and Lassie are brother and sister. We went as a family to the BSPCA and saw all the lovely puppies. At first we only took Lassie. In the car on the way home, my sons felt sorry for her brother Buster and pleaded with me to take him also. We went back and adopted Buster too! Now they are one year old, very happy and quite mischievous. Now we have six dogs, all except Buster are female and the smallest is a Chihuahua. We love them all!”
Rocky and Candy are Japanese Spitz mixes and were adopted from the Sanctuary in December 2007. They had been dumped at the BSPCA a few months earlier along with their litter of puppies. Sadly, none of the puppies survived and Candy was badly emaciated from the pregnancy and lack of care. They were both initially adopted by different families but luckily when Candy’s adoption didn’t work out, the Hindi family who had adopted Rocky jumped at the chance to reunite them. As you can see, Rocky & Candy now live the good life with the Hindi’s where they are loved and taken care of the way they deserve.
Supu, a gorgeous purebred Dalmatian was adopted in January 2008. He had been abandoned by his previous owners at the Sanctuary and had a serious kidney condition for which he needs life long care – a fact that made him very difficult to adopt. Being the gorgeous lad that he is, he managed to get under Saleh & Haya Hijazi’s skin. Not being able to add yet another dog to their household, Saleh & Haya contacted a Dalmatian rescue organisation in the United States and eventually sent Supu off to Florida where he’s found his forever home with Pati & Mark & nine other Dalmatians!
